Poem Of The Day #45

A gallon of gas rises to three fifty,
A bag of rice costs more than twenty. 
Can you believe that Asian store I went?
They were changing their price tag swiftly
right in front me without feeling guilty.

Don't worry--I try to comfort her.
You don't drive as much as before--
because of omicron.
You don't eat much rice anymore--
too much carbohydrates. 

The cosmetic store closed down--
I have to find another place for a facial.
She says with a sigh. 
If you want to save some money, I say,
you can DIY at home. 

She looks at me contemptuously and says:
I am still alive. 
I am not giving up, am I?
