Fig, fun, fog are commonly known, but there are many interesting three letter words that are not often used, like fib, fob, fub, fab, fad, fop,
fab: fabulous; wonderful.
fad: an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something
fid: a square wooden or iron bar
fib: a lie, typically an unimportant one.
fob: give (someone) something inferior to or different from what they want.
fop: a man who is concerned with his clothes and appearance in an affected and excessive way; a dandy.
fub: verb. an archaic word for cheat.
Fob sounds like a fun word to say lol.

I just discovered a new word in a British mystery: lugubrious. Which I havenβt read anywhere before and is completely new to me. (Had to actually look it up) It means βsadβ. βHis expression became downright lugubrious.β Had to think of your blog and wanted to share my discovery π

Fug is a word used a lot around here. It is a warm, stuffy atmosphere: ‘his fond reminiscences, viewed through the soft fug of nostalgia, were not always to be believed…’

Wow, love the word fug, which sounds a little like fog and hug, which does give a warm and stuffy atmosphere.
